Program Context

Lyceum & Honors

The Lyceum Scholars Program is the nation's premier academic institution dedicated to the study of the history of liberty, capitalism, the American Founding, and principles of moral character.

The Lyceum Program allows the optional opportunity to embark on a capstone: a Lyceum Thesis. I have decided to also work on this Thesis with Clemson's Honors College through their Departmental Honors program, and I am grateful to everyone involved for allowing this somewhat unusual structure.

"For he that thinks absolute power purifies men's blood, and corrects the baseness of human nature, need read but the history of this, or any other age, to be convinced of the contrary."

— John Locke, Second Treatise of Government
